PDGA Divisions
The PDGA rates players based on their scores in previous tournaments. If this is your first tournament then it might be a challenge to determine the appropriate division to play in.
The following link shows the scores for the last tournament in June at Leverich Park. The course played was NOT the normal 12 hole layout at Leverich Park. All rounds were 13 holes and the first two rounds were played with hole 12s basket in the island in the middle of the parking lot instead of under the tree. There were other small changes including additional out of bounds areas that affected scores. It is our estimation that the course played a couple strokes harder during tournament play than it does during recreational play so we recommend taking your average/best scores for the 12 hole course and add a between 4 and 6 strokes to that to estimate how you may have played at this tournament.
That said, we are also adding the MA4 novice division for men. PDGA ratings for novice players must be under 850. Generally, if you should more than a couple over par for 12 holes at Leverich then you probably belong in the Novice division.
Age protected divisions are available for Masters (born 1969 or earlier), Grandmaster (born 1959 or earlier), Youth I (born 1990 or later), and Junior II (born 1993 or later). In addition, if there is interest we will add divisions for Junior III (born 1996 or later) and Junior IV (born 1999 or later). Women may choose to play in a men's division, however, men are not allowed to play in women's divisions.
